Definitions
The athlete who is registered to compete in the Event. The Participant may be you or may be someone you registered.
Bliss Technologies Inc., the company that provides Flexible Cancellation and pays the Refund Amount.
The CompNet competition, held in the United States, for which you purchased your Registration, as identified in your Purchase Confirmation.
The business that organizes and operates the Event and from which you purchased your Registration, as identified in your Purchase Confirmation.
The registration for the Event that you purchased from the Event Organizer, whether for yourself or for a Participant you registered.
The amount you paid for your Registration, including any applicable taxes and after any discounts applied.
The optional service provided by Bliss that allows you to cancel your Registration for any reason of your choosing and receive the Refund Amount in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
The amount you pay Bliss for Flexible Cancellation, as disclosed to you before purchase and recorded in your Purchase Confirmation.
The amount Bliss pays you following a valid cancellation, as disclosed to you before purchase and recorded in your Purchase Confirmation.
Cancellation Deadline
The point before the Event's scheduled start time by which you must cancel your Registration in order to receive the Refund Amount, as disclosed to you before purchase and recorded in your Purchase Confirmation.
Purchase Confirmation
The confirmation Bliss sends you when you purchase Flexible Cancellation. It records the Event, the Event Organizer, the Flexible Cancellation Fee, the Refund Amount, the Cancellation Deadline, and the version of these Terms and Conditions that applies to your purchase. The Purchase Confirmation forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
Parties AND Scope
What is Flexible Cancellation?
Flexible Cancellation is an optional service, purchased separately from your Registration for a separate fee, that gives you the ability to cancel your Registration for any reason.
If you cancel your Registration on your own initiative before the Cancellation Deadline, and the cancellation is confirmed by the Event Organizer or Bliss, Bliss will pay you the Refund Amount. The Flexible Cancellation Fee and any other fees associated with your Registration will not be refunded.
What's the cost?
The Flexible Cancellation Fee is disclosed to you before you purchase and is recorded in your Purchase Confirmation. It is charged in addition to your Registration Fee and is shown to you separately before you purchase.
The Flexible Cancellation Fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, including if you do not use Flexible Cancellation, allow it to expire, or your Registration is cancelled by the Event Organizer.
REFUND AMOUNT
For eligible cancellations made before the Cancellation Deadline, Bliss will pay you the Refund Amount.
The Refund Amount is fixed, is disclosed to you before purchase, and does not vary based on the reason for your cancellation. The Refund Amount will not exceed the Registration Fee you paid.
Any remaining portion of the Registration Fee is not refundable by Bliss under these Terms and Conditions. Whether the Event Organizer refunds any part of your Registration Fee is governed by your agreement with the Event Organizer.
Who pays you
Bliss is financially responsible for paying all valid Refund Amounts under Flexible Cancellation. Bliss maintains sufficient financial reserves or arrangements to fulfill its refund obligations under these Terms and Conditions.
Bliss remains solely and directly obligated to pay the Refund Amount to you regardless of the payment channel used. If the Refund Amount is paid to you through the Event Organizer, the Event Organizer acts only as Bliss's payment agent and has no independent obligation to you under these Terms and Conditions.
The role of bliss and the event organizer
Bliss provides Flexible Cancellation to you directly and pays the Refund Amount. Bliss is not an insurer and does not provide insurance.
The Event Organizer organizes and operates the Event and is responsible for your Registration. The Event Organizer may collect the Flexible Cancellation Fee on Bliss's behalf and may pass the Refund Amount to you on Bliss's behalf. In doing so the Event Organizer acts only as Bliss's agent and has no obligation to you under these Terms and Conditions.
HOW TO USE FLEXIBLE CANCELLATION
To cancel your Registration and receive the Refund Amount, submit a cancellation request in your Bliss dashboard before the Cancellation Deadline, using the link in your Purchase Confirmation, including the payment details for Bliss to pay you. You can also contact Bliss at support@blissguarantee.com.
Bliss will confirm that your Registration has been cancelled. Bliss may confirm this from the Event Organizer's systems, from the Event Organizer directly, or from reasonable evidence that you provide.
Following that confirmation, Bliss will pay you the Refund Amount directly, as described in "HOW YOU RECEIVE THE REFUND AMOUNT" below.
There is no proof or documentation required to use Flexible Cancellation, other than confirmation that your Registration has been cancelled before the Cancellation Deadline.
HOW YOU RECEIVE THE REFUND AMOUNT
Bliss does not have access to the payment method you used for your Registration. Bliss will therefore pay you the Refund Amount separately, using a payment method that Bliss offers and you select.
You provide the payment information Bliss needs when you submit your cancellation request. Bliss will pay the Refund Amount in USD within 5 business days of the later of (a) your cancellation being confirmed and (b) Bliss receiving complete and accurate payment information from you.
If the information you provide is incomplete or a payment cannot be completed, you must provide corrected information within 90 days of your cancellation being confirmed.
Bliss may take reasonable steps to confirm that you are the Purchaser before making payment. These steps relate only to how Bliss pays you. They do not affect your right to cancel or your entitlement to the Refund Amount.
What is excluded?
Flexible Cancellation will not cover:
(a) cancellations of your Registration initiated by the Event Organizer or any third party other than you;
(b) cancellations made after the Cancellation Deadline;
(c) partial cancellations or modifications to your Registration;
(d) Events that have already commenced;
(e) Registrations that you transferred or used before cancellation; or
(f) any fraudulent, abusive, or bad-faith use of Flexible Cancellation.
NOn-Insurance DISCLOSURE
Flexible Cancellation is not insurance, is not an offer to insure, and does not constitute an insurance policy or contract of insurance. Bliss is not an insurance company, and this product is not subject to any state insurance guaranty fund or other insurance regulatory protections. Flexible Cancellation does not replace any insurance or protection you may separately have or purchase.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BLISS'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO FLEXIBLE CANCELLATION OR THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE REFUND AMOUNT APPLICABLE TO YOUR REGISTRATION. IN NO EVENT SHALL BLISS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER BLISS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Amendments
Bliss may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Event Organizer's website and/or Bliss's website. Changes will apply only to Flexible Cancellation purchases made after the effective date of such changes; purchases made before the effective date will continue to be governed by the Terms and Conditions in effect at the time of purchase.
Bliss maintains each prior version of these Terms and Conditions at a permanent web address. The version that applies to your purchase is the one linked in your Purchase Confirmation.
Dispute Resolution
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to Flexible Cancellation or these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") in accordance with its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect, rather than in court. Information about AAA and its Consumer Arbitration Rules is available at www.adr.org or by calling 1-800-778-7879. The arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator in the English language. The arbitrator shall have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, or formation of this arbitration agreement. The arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis; class actions, class arbitrations, and representative actions are not permitted, and you waive any right to participate in such proceedings. YOU UNDERSTAND THAT BY AGREEING TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, YOU AND BLISS ARE EACH WAIVING THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY AND THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction, and disputes may be resolved in small claims court if all requirements of that court are satisfied.
For any arbitration against Bliss, you may choose to conduct the arbitration by telephone, based on written submissions, or in person in the county where you live or at another mutually agreed location. If you initiate arbitration, Bliss will pay all AAA filing fees and arbitrator costs in excess of $25. Bliss will not seek attorneys' fees or costs in arbitration unless the arbitrator determines your claims are frivolous.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable while preserving its original intent.
Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with your Purchase Confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Bliss with respect to Flexible Cancellation and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, representations, or agreements, whether oral or written, relating to Flexible Cancellation.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer Flexible Cancellation or any rights under these Terms and Conditions without Bliss's prior written consent. Any attempted assignment in violation of this provision shall be void. Bliss may assign its rights and obligations under these Terms and Conditions without restriction.
Electronic Communications
By purchasing Flexible Cancellation, you consent to receive communications from Bliss electronically, including by email or by posting notices on the Event Organizer's website or Bliss's website. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications that Bliss provides to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
Governing LAW
These Terms and Conditions and any dispute arising out of or relating to Flexible Cancellation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

Flexible Cancellation is provided and serviced exclusively by Bliss. To ensure prompt service, all questions about Flexible Cancellation should be directed to Bliss, not the Event Organizer. Questions about your Registration or the Event itself should be directed to the Event Organizer.
